It's not beating a dead horse if the horse is still kicking you in the head - my thoughts on SOPA

Going to keep this short, because this is unfortunately getting to be like an old meme. First off, I am completely against SOPA passing. I don't think that just because Obama said he would veto it that there is nothing to worry about. Presidential vetoes can be over-written.

I just have one question I would like to ask my readers (all about 3 of you) - With all the fighting against SOPA taking place on and around the internet, what can we actually do to stop this? The representatives can just stop checking their email. They can screen their calls. How do we take the fight off of the internet (the realm of the people who care) and into the representatives' lives? We need to do something that doesn't involve internet celebrities and angry forum posts. Congressmen and RIAA and MPAA and those other 'big bad evils' don't give a shit if a person who set up some thing called "Twitter" or "Google" oppose this. They just care about their money and getting their coffee and other things. They don't even know how the internet works, and have admitted that, while ignoring experts.

Basically, I'm going crazy quicker and quicker. My future livelihood depends on a free internet and I can't do anything but send emails and telephone calls that will be ignored.
